| Abstract: | La presente investigación se fundamenta en el estudio de la concentración de la industria y el comportamiento financiero de las empresas del sector de leche fresca líquida (CIIU C1050.01) del Ecuador, debido a que este sector es sumamente productivo y se lo considera predominante en el país. Para cumplir con los objetivos planteados en este trabajo investigativo fue primordial trabajar con información de fuentes secundarias, es así que se utilizó la página web de la SUPERCIAS para obtener datos correspondientes a empresas del sector de leche fresca líquida a nivel Nacional, hallando una población estipulada de 117 empresas categorizadas por el CIIU de elaboración de leche, posteriormente se realizó un muestreo por criterio de las cuales se seleccionaron 14 empresas del país con las que se trabajó, se utilizó el índice de Herfindahl para medir el nivel de Concentración de Mercado, por otro lado a través de los Estados Financieros se determinó los indicadores financieros enfocados específicamente en la Rentabilidad, como son el Margen Operacional, Rentabilidad del Activo, Margen Neto, y Rentabilidad Financiera. |
| Description: | The proposed research is based on the study of the industry and the financial behavior of companies in the dairy industry (CIIU C1050.01) in Ecuador, given the fact that this sector is highly productive and is considered predominant in the country. In order to meet the objectives set in this research work, it was essential to work with information from secondary sources, so the web page of the SUPERCIAS can be used to obtain data corresponding to companies in the dairy industry at a national level. There is a population stipulated of 117 companies categorized by CIIU of milk processing then, by sampling the information 14 companies were selected to develop this research. Besides, the Herfindahl index was used to measure the level of Market Concentration, on the other hand through the Financial Reports, the financial indicators specifically focused on Profitability were determined, such as Operational Margin, Asset Profitability, Net Margin, and Financial Profitability. |
