| dc.description | Considering that the Aggregate Economic Activity (AEA) reflects the economic decisions of the agents according to the existing economic conditions, it is evident the close relationship and the possible impact it could have on economic growth. For such reason, the present research project aims to evaluate the effect of the performance of the Aggregate Economic Activity on the economic growth of Ecuador the period 2014- 2021. It is worth mentioning that this is a research with a descriptive, correlational and explanatory level, with time series provided by the BCE, INEC, in addition to the websites Datos Abiertos Ecuador and EpData. The main results show that the INA-R, IDEAC and IAE-NP indexes are positively correlated with the rate of change of GDP, highlighting the impact of aggregate economic activity on the country's economic growth. However, using a quantile regression model, a direct relationship was observed between the INA-R and the rate of change of GDP, while the IAE-NP showed an inverse relationship with the rate of change of GDP in the different quantiles. Thus, it is concluded that there is a need for flexible economic policies that can mitigate adverse impacts and promote balanced growth of Ecuador's various economic activities in the face of the country's internal and external fluctuations. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Considerando que la Actividad Económica Agregada (AEA) refleja las decisiones económicas de los agentes según las condiciones económicas existentes, es evidente la estrecha relación y el posible impacto que podría tener en el crecimiento económico. Por tal razón, el presente proyecto de investigación tiene como propósito evaluar el efecto del desempeño de la actividad económica agregada en el crecimiento económico del Ecuador el período 2014-2021. Cabe mencionar que se trata de una investigación con un nivel descriptivo, correlacional y explicativo, con series de tiempo proporcionadas por el BCE, el INEC, además de los sitios web Datos Abiertos Ecuador y EpData. En los principales resultados se pueden observar que los índices INA-R, IDEAC e IAE-NP se correlacionan de manera positiva con la tasa de variación del PIB, subrayando el impacto de la actividad económica agregada en el crecimiento económico del país. No obstante, al utilizar un modelo de regresión cuantílica, se observó una relación directa entre el INA-R y la tasa de variación del PIB, mientras que el IAE-NP mostró una relación inversa con la tasa de variación del PIB en los diferentes cuantiles. De esta manera, se llega a la conclusión de que existe la necesidad de políticas económicas flexibles que puedan mitigar los impactos adversos y promover un crecimiento equilibrado de las diversas actividades económicas del Ecuador frente a las fluctuaciones internas y externas del país. | es_ES |
