| dc.description | The objective of this research is to explain the determinants that affect the productivity of industrial companies in the agricultural sector in Ecuador during the period 2010- 2020. For this purpose, the industrial companies of the agricultural sector in Ecuador and their evolution during the mentioned period were described. Subsequently, the production function of industrial companies in the agricultural sector in Ecuador was estimated. Also, the determinants of total factor productivity of industrial firms in the agricultural sector in Ecuador were established using a panel data model. The results show that the productive factor that has the greatest impact on the production of industrial firms in the agricultural sector is labor. In addition, firm size is the main determinant of firm productivity, with the other variables analyzed being significant and explaining 61 percent of the changes generated in productivity. It is concluded that labor is the most important productive factor and that the model used to explain productivity is highly significant. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de esta investigación es explicar los factores determinantes que inciden en la productividad de las empresas industriales del sector agrícola en Ecuador durante el periodo 2010-2020. Para ello, se describió a las empresas industriales del sector agrícola en Ecuador y su evolución durante el período mencionado. Posterior a ello, se estimó la función de producción de las empresas industriales del sector agrícola en Ecuador. También, se establecieron los determinantes de la productividad total de factores de las empresas industriales del sector agrícola en Ecuador mediante un modelo de datos de panel. Los resultados demuestran que el factor productivo que más incide en la producción de las empresas industriales del sector agrícola es el trabajo. Además, el tamaño de la empresa es el principal determinante de la productividad de la empresa siendo las demás variables analizadas significativas y explicando el 61 por ciento de los cambios generados en la productividad. Se concluye que el trabajo es el factor productivo más determinante y que el modelo utilizado para explicar la productividad es altamente significativo. | es_ES |
