Abstract

Preserving the customs and traditions that Ecuador possesses, is the task of all professions, which if possible are able to contribute to this fact, since, due to globalization, there is a risk of contaminating or even losing the identity of the manifestations cultural and values that gave rise to the folklore surrounding these festivities. All these expressions, rites and celebrations have a unique language which is expressed through compositional elements, loaded with unique meanings and symbology of each holiday, same as when transmitted orally, they run the risk of being lost or altered, and that according to the place and context in which the tradition is born, acquires a different meaning. Such is the case of the Diablada Pillareña, that despite being such a popular holiday and having roots in the Andean demonstration, it has a unique symbolism typical of the pillareños, who have maintained this tradition until the present times, however, it has He considered a remarkable transformation in his dress, which reflects a problem of acculturation.
