Abstract
Este proyecto de tesis se enfoca en la Hacienda Suruyacu, ubicada en la provincia de
Napo, la cual se dedica a actividades de ganadería y turismo. A pesar de su potencial
turístico, la hacienda enfrenta la carencia de mobiliario adecuado para las áreas de
descanso y otros espacios destinados a los visitantes. El objetivo principal de este
proyecto es diseñar un mobiliario que no solo mejore la experiencia de los turistas,
sino que también se adapte a las condiciones del entorno andino, con un enfoque
sostenible. El diseño de mobiliario incluye elementos funcionales y estéticamente
integrados con la identidad local, utilizando materiales locales y sostenibles.
Este proyecto busca mejorar la calidad de la experiencia de los visitantes en la
hacienda, proporcionando espacios cómodos que fomenten la interacción social y el
descanso en un entorno natural. A través de un enfoque participativo, se busca
comprender las necesidades específicas de los usuarios, tanto turistas como el personal
de la hacienda, para crear soluciones de mobiliario que contribuyan al desarrollo
económico local y al crecimiento del turismo regional. Además, la implementación de
diseños modulares optimizará el uso del espacio, y los materiales utilizados reflejarán
el compromiso con la sostenibilidad y el respeto al entorno natural.
El proyecto no solo tiene como objetivo mejorar las instalaciones de la hacienda, sino
también generar conciencia sobre la importancia del diseño sostenible y la integración
del entorno natural en la experiencia turística, promoviendo así el desarrollo de un
turismo responsable y comprometido con la conservación del medio ambiente.
Description
This thesis project focuses on Hacienda Suruyacu, located in the province of Napo,
which is dedicated to livestock farming and tourism activities. Despite its tourism
potential, the hacienda faces the lack of adequate furniture for rest areas and other
spaces intended for visitors. The main goal of this project is to design furniture that
not only enhances the tourist experience but also adapts to the conditions of the Andean
environment, with a sustainable approach. The furniture design includes functional
elements and is aesthetically integrated with the local identity, using local and
sustainable materials.
This project aims to improve the quality of the visitor experience at the hacienda by
providing comfortable spaces that encourage social interaction and rest in a natural
setting. Through a participatory approach, the project seeks to understand the specific
needs of users, both tourists and staff at the hacienda, to create furniture solutions that
contribute to local economic development and the growth of regional tourism.
Furthermore, the implementation of modular designs will optimize space usage, and
the materials used will reflect a commitment to sustainability and respect for the
natural environment.
The project not only aims to improve the hacienda's facilities but also to raise
awareness about the importance of sustainable design and the integration of the natural
environment into the tourist experience, thus promoting the development of
responsible tourism that is committed to environmental conservation.
