| dc.description | At present, the study on preservation and care of the environment is a relevant issue, for this reason the different ecological footprints in Ecuador and the impact of each bioproductive zone in a period of 11 years were studied. The ecological footprint is a tool that measures the use of natural resources and the generation of waste of a population or individual in relation to the regeneration capacity of the Earth. A comprehensive analysis of data and scientific studies on the ecological footprint in different regions and countries were carried out. Various sources were used, such as reports, scientific articles, data from the Ministry of the Environment and the database of the National System of Environmental and Sustainability Indicators -SINIAS to obtain a complete and updated vision on the subject. Through the investigation, it was concluded that the ecological footprint is a crucial metric to understand the relationship between humanity and the environment. The findings of this research highlight the importance of addressing the environmental crisis and the need to take collective action to reduce the ecological footprint. Sustainability must be a priority both at the governmental and individual levels, promoting policies that encourage responsible development and adopting more conscious practices in daily life. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | En la actualidad el estudio sobre preservación y cuidado del medio ambiente es un tema relevante por ello se estudió las diferentes huellas ecológicas en Ecuador y el impacto de cada zona bioproductiva en un lapso de 11 años, La huella ecológica es una herramienta que mide el uso de recursos naturales y la generación de residuos de una población o individuo en relación con la capacidad de regeneración de la Tierra. Se llevó a cabo un análisis exhaustivo de datos y estudios científicos sobre la huella ecológica en diferentes regiones y países. Se utilizaron diversas fuentes, como informes, artículos científicos, datos del Ministerio del Medio Ambiente y la base de datos de Sistema Nacional de Indicadores Ambientales y Sostenibilidad -SINIAS para obtener una visión completa y actualizada sobre el tema. Mediante la investigación se llegó a la conclusión que la huella ecológica es una métrica crucial para entender la relación entre la humanidad y el medio ambiente. Los hallazgos de esta investigación destacan la importancia de abordar la crisis ambiental y la necesidad de tomar medidas colectivas para reducir la huella ecológica. La sostenibilidad debe ser una prioridad tanto a nivel gubernamental como individual, promueve políticas que fomenten un desarrollo responsable y adopta prácticas más conscientes en la vida diaria. | es_ES |
