Abstract
ventajas competitivas sostenibles.
Description
This research determined the relationship between territorial marketing strategies and
the positioning of the Huambaló parish as an orange tourism destination in
Tungurahua. Methodologically, a mixed-methods approach was applied, with a non
experimental, cross-sectional design, conducted between December 2025 and
February 2026. Given the absence of a formal problem statement in the institutional
format, the working hypothesis (Hi) was incorporated into Chapter I, postulating that
tactics based on interactive learning (edutainment) and digital storytelling are
positively and directly related to the configuration of the creative destination. The
situational diagnosis, structured using a semi-structured interview guide administered
to five key informants and submitted as Appendix A, revealed solid internal potential
with a weighted score of 2.81 (MEFI), driven by the artisanal heritage of
woodworking. However, the external audit yielded a critical score of 2.23 (MEFE),
conditioned by severe digital divides and the threat of mass industrialization. To
address this asymmetry, a Strategic Marketing Plan was designed with a budget of
$4,500.00 USD for a six-month period. The proposal consists of 10 tactics prioritized
by level (40% high, 50% medium, 10% low), highlighting the Design and Wood Chip
route, the Apprentice for a Day program, and the Master Craftsman seal. The
qualitative and quantitative results discussed formally corroborated the hypothesis,
confirming that marketing planning is the indispensable catalyst for transforming
traditional woodworking knowledge into sustainable competitive advantages.
