| dc.description | This paper seeks to explain the incidence of vulnerable sectors in underemployment and informality in Ecuador. It begins with a description of the evolution of the informality rate and the underemployment rate, followed by a descriptive analysis of the structural determinants that condition vulnerable sectors with underemployment and informality in the Ecuadorian labor market, and determines the incidence of vulnerable sectors with underemployment and informality in Ecuador through a bivariate probit model based on the ENEMDU survey data for the year 2019. The results of this study show that the variables of vulnerable sectors are highly significant in the probability of underemployment and informality in Ecuador. It is concluded that the vulnerable sectors have a significant impact on underemployment and informality in Ecuador, which also shows that married people, whether men or women, are the most likely to be underemployed or to be employed in the informal sector. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo busca explicar la incidencia de los sectores vulnerables en el subempleo e informalidad en Ecuador. Para lo cual se empieza con una descripción de la evolución de la tasa de informalidad y la tasa de subempleo, posteriormente, se realiza un análisis descriptivo de los determinantes estructurales que condicionan a los sectores vulnerables con el subempleo e informalidad en el mercado laboral ecuatoriano, se determina la incidencia de los sectores vulnerables con el subempleo e informalidad en Ecuador a través de un modelo probit bivariado que toma como base de datos a la encuesta ENEMDU en el año 2019. Los resultados de este estudio muestran que las variables de los sectores vulnerables son altamente significativas en la probabilidad de subempleo e informalidad en Ecuador. Se concluye que los sectores vulnerables inciden de forma significativa al subempleo e informalidad en Ecuador, donde además se muestra que las personas casadas sean hombres o mujeres son las más propensas a obtener subempleo o un empleo en el sector informal. | es_ES |
