dc.description | Conocimientos sobre infecciones de transmisión sexual y acciones preventivas realizadas por adolescentes del sector dos. Las Infecciones de Trasmisión Sexual actualmente son un problema de Salud Pública, especialmente en la etapa adolescente debido a condiciones como falta de conocimientos que ponen en riesgo su salud por conductas sexuales no saludables. Objetivo: Determinar los conocimientos sobre ITS y acciones preventivas realizadas por adolescentes del sector 2 de Saquisilí. Método: El estudio es de tipo cualitativo cuantitativo, método descriptivo de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 138 adolescentes entre 10 a 19 años, se utilizó como instrumento un cuestionario. Resultados: Del 100% (138) adolescentes; solo el 66.5% adolescentes conocen sobre las ITS así como las formas de contagio; información obtenida de maestros y alguno de sus progenitores, el 88,7% conoce como prevenirlas mediante la utilización de preservativo seguida de los chequeos médicos (75%) y relacionados con la pareja (65%). Conclusión: El mayor porcentaje de adolescentes tienen conocimiento medio acerca de las ITS y sus acciones preventivas, la prueba estadística de Chi cuadrado muestra que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento y las prácticas preventivas. | es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | Knowledge about sexually transmitted infections and preventive actions taken by adolescents in the sector both. Sexually Transmitted Infections currently is a public health problem, especially in the adolescent stage due to conditions such as lack of knowledge that endanger their health by unhealthy sexual behaviors. Objective: To determine knowledge of STIs and preventive actions by teenagers Saquisilí sector 2. Method: The study is qualitative quantitative, descriptive method of cross section. The sample consisted of 138 adolescents aged 10 to 19 years, was used as instrument a questionnaire. Results: Of 100% (138) adolescents; only 66.5% adolescents know about STIs and ways of contagion; information obtained from teachers and some of their parents, 88.7% know how to prevent using condoms followed by checkups (75%) and related to the couple (65%). Conclusion: The highest percentage of adolescents have average knowledge about STIs and their preventive actions, statistical Chi square test shows that there is a statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge and preventive practices. | es_ES |
