Item type:Ítem, Diseño textil a partir de la incorporación de la técnica del macramé para el desarrollo de lencería de hogar(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA DE DISEÑO TEXTIL E INDUMENTARIA, 2025-07-29) ;Pico Sánchez Dennis Rodrigo ;Escobar Guanoluisa Taña ElizabethUNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA DE DISEÑO TEXTIL E INDUMENTARIAThis thesis project is about the development of textile design products for the home, using the macramé technique as a decorative detail. The main objective is to create a line of objects such as wall hangings, cushions, table runners and placemats that combine modern design with an artisanal and handmade touch. Although macramé is an important technique within the project, the main focus is on textile design: thinking about the materials, colors, shapes and functions of each piece so that it looks good in the spaces of the home and also has a utility. What is sought is that these products not only serve as decoration, but also convey emotions and reflect a warmer, natural and personal style. The work process included researching the topic, seeing what products exist in the market, surveying potential users to find out their tastes, and finally designing and manufacturing the products. We also worked on the technical specifications and costs, thinking that this line of products could be marketed. The general idea is to show how a traditional technique such as macramé can be rescued and applied to current textile design, generating pieces that look good, have quality and tell a story. With this, we want to give more value to manual work and offer decorative alternatives with identity.Item type:Ítem, Diseño de una familia de productos funcionales para áreas de oficina de diseño y arquitectura: Caso de estudio PEBO(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA DE DISEÑO INDUSTRIAL, 2025-07-28) ;Nájera Villacrés Karol Nicole ;Medina Mocayo Andrés SebastianUNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA DE DISEÑO INDUSTRIALThis graduation project proposes the design of a family of functional decorative products for office spaces within design and architecture studios, taking PEBO—a creative studio based in the city of Ambato—as a case study. The project arose from the need to integrate objects that contribute to organization, aesthetics, and brand identity in the workspace, without compromising the studio’s visual language. The research followed a qualitative approach, using the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) methodology, which allowed for validating design solutions with low cost and direct user feedback. Based on the results, a medium-fidelity prototype was designed, composed of six items: modular pencil holder, organizers, desktop tray, multifunctional partition panel, cup with saucer, and stackable planters. The prototypes were made of 3 mm MDF using laser cutting, allowing evaluation of their usability, proportions, aesthetics, and user interaction. These objects were tested directly in PEBO's workspace, showing improvements in workflow experience, spatial order, and user identification with the products. The project successfully met its three objectives: identifying decorative products used in creative offices, analyzing the formal and functional characteristics of PEBO’s work environment, and proposing a prototype coherent with its visual identity. It concludes that user-centered design can deliver applicable, meaningful, and context-adapted solutions that enhance well-being, functionality, and aesthetics in professional environments.
