Item type:Ítem, Moda circular: Estrategias para la incorporación de prendas al proceso de circularidad(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA DE DISEÑO TEXTIL E INDUMENTARIA, 2025-07-28) ;Rodriguez Mancheno Adriana Verónica ;Solís Sánchez Sandra JacquelineUNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA DE DISEÑO TEXTIL E INDUMENTARIAThe research focused on analyzing circularity strategies applied to clothing design with the aim of incorporating garments into the sustainable production cycle. Through case studies, bibliographic records, qualitative interviews, and product audit and autopsy records, principles such as rejecting, rethinking, reducing, reusing, repairing, reconditioning, remanufacturing, recycling, recovering, and recording were addressed. These tools allowed us to examine the potential for textile reuse and the construction processes involved. Effective practices were identified that can extend the useful life of clothing, reduce textile waste, and optimize the use of resources. The most common strategies were durability in design, upcycling, monomateriality, and linear pattern-making. The study found that design adaptability and manufacturing quality directly influence the degree of circularity that can be achieved. The conclusions emphasize the importance of incorporating circularity principles into the initial stages of the design process to ensure that each garment meets sustainability criteria from the outset. This integration encourages mindful decisions about materials, construction methods, and opportunities for reuse or disassembly. Similarly, it is evident that eco-design strategies optimize resource use and redefine the designer's role as a key agent in transforming the fashion system into regenerative models.
