The objective of this degree project is to design an industrial fastening device for scissor lifts, applied to the front drive train assembly process in the CIAUTO company, located in the province of Tungurahua. The direct beneficiaries of the device are line operators, technical managers and the organization in general. The analysis of the production environment and the context of the automotive market revealed growth of 24.9% in commercial vehicles and 11.3% in the van segment, which makes it possible to project an increase in demand for the second half of 2025. The consolidation of CIAUTO as a leading company, with a 59% market share with the GWM, Shineray and KYC brands, reinforces the need to implement technical improvements to optimize its operational efficiency after the closure of General Motors. Through the application of interviews, surveys and process analysis in the production line, the handling of the axle tip, the frame and the upper and lower suspension arm, which represent 65% of the total assembly time per unit, were identified as critical points of delay and operational load. Methodologies such as QFD, Design Thinking and Ashby were employed to link technical requirements with optimal materials, selecting ASTM Gr.10 steel and AISI 1020 stainless steel. Prototypes designed and validated through structural simulations, using the Von Mises coefficient in Fusion 360 software, demonstrated high strength and safety. As a result, front powertrain assembly time was reduced by 13 minutes per unit, enabling an increase of up to 8 vehicles per week under current production conditions. The 80% acceptance by the operating personnel validates the functionality of the proposed device and demonstrates the positive impact of technical solutions aimed at continuous improvement in industrial processes.
