Resumen : Work Graduation question is to determine how the story affects motor development of the basic functions in children with Down Syndrome 4-5 years "Ambato Specialized Institute" where the dynamics of the teacher plays a role very important when a child has a learning difficulty or assimilate learning even more if it is a child with special needs. Once detected the problem thanks to exploratory research we proceed to the construction of the theoretical framework to properly substantiate the research variables, based on information gathered from books, brochures, and the Internet. Once established research methodology appropriate instruments for the process of the same, which give the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the variables investigated, proceeding to statistically analyze the data obtained, thus establishing Discussion of Results are made The relevant conclusions, in which is included by way of annex a brief proposal related to the engine tale activities which seeks to improve the development of the basic functions of children with Down Syndrome 4-5 years "Ambato Specialized Institute ".
