Resumen : This study applied the Carbon Footprint Estimation of the terrestrial terminals of the city of Ambato (UDTA) to reflect the reality of a problem that affects society and the world. The CO2 emission factor obtained was 78131,532 Kg CO2/TJ, this value was compared to the Emission Factor reported in the IPCC which is 74100 Kg CO2/TJ, a difference attributed to the emission factor being Influenced by the technology of the buses, operation, and different characteristics of the fuel, reason why this value obtained not only differs from the reference value but is higher. The Carbon Footprint was 71,69 t CO2-e, 133,44 t CO2-e and 92159,74 t CO2-e, for the ranges 1, 2 and 3 respectively; As initially estimated the largest contribution to the Organization's Carbon Footprint is given by the vehicle fleet that was considered in reach 3. To contribute to the mitigation of emissions to the atmosphere it was essential to carry out an Environmental Management Plan with different programs whose purpose is to mitigate the Carbon Footprint obtained.
