Abstract

This research was based on the application of cooperative learning strategies and the impact on the development of cognitive skills of students in fourth years of basic education school Basic Education Santa Rosa city of Ambato, "specifically in the area of natural sciences. What motivated this research was the need to improve the quality of education students to adapt new strategies to help students develop better cognitive skills, academic performance and social skills, to provide them both students and teachers a means to work in classrooms where there is no segregation and everyone is on the same chances of success. Solution to the problem: in order to achieve the best performance and development of cognitive skills in students through the use of a manual of cooperative learning strategies aimed at teachers, so this tool is adapted to the needs of students. We concluded that cooperative learning strategies affect the development of cognitive skills of students.
