It was developed under a mixed-method approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and sequential explanatory design, as well as a descriptive and correlational scope and a qualitative case study component. The reference tourist population consisted of 488,000 visitors, and the sample included 68 respondents; in addition, three yachaks from the community participated in the study. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. The questionnaire showed acceptable internal consistency through Cronbach’s Alpha (α = 0.717; 12 items), and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test revealed a non-normal distribution (p < 0.001). Therefore, Spearman’s Rho and Pearson’s Chi-square tests were applied. The study identified natural healing practices, cleansing rituals, plant-based medicine, midwifery, ancestral medicine, harmonization, spiritual healing, physical therapies, and Andean medicine, along with resources such as nettle, rue, altamisa, marco, chamomile, egg, guinea pig, tobacco, and candle. The results showed that 52.9% of respondents valued the comprehensive tourism experience, 64.7% valued emotional well-being and mental rest, and 92.6% expressed willingness to participate in holistic healing practices. Significant relationships were found through Spearman’s Rho (ρ = 0.609 and ρ = 0.656; p < 0.001) and Chi-square (χ² = 23.816; p = 0.022). Finally, the Kawsay Salasaca Holistic Healing Route was designed, oriented toward responsible tourism and respect for community knowledge.El estudio analizó la relación entre la sanación holística y la motivación turística para fortalecer las experiencias locales en la parroquia Salasaca.
