Efecto de calfovit® (premezcla vitamínico mineral) sobre el índice reproductivo parto-concepción en vacas lecheras mestizas del cantón Quero - provincia de Tungurahua

Abstract

In Ecuador, dairy production has a great influence on the development of the country's economy, and mainly in the Sierra Region where 73% of the country's total dairy production is concentrated. The experimental research was carried out with the objective of evaluating the effect of the mineral vitamin premix (Calfovit) on the reproductive index calving-conception in mestizo dairy cows in the Marisol ranch, located in the La Calera village, Quero canton, Tungurahua province. For this, a completely randomized design was developed, randomly forming groups of five crossbreed Holstein cows, to which different levels of the mineral vitamin premix were completely randomly supplied in order to demonstrate the effect of Calfovit on size. of the follicles and uterine involution measured by ultrasound, as well as the percentage of conception observed at 75 days postpartum. The statistical analysis shows that the supply of the mineral vitamin supplement in the daily diet of crossbred Holstein cows on days 20 and 40 postpartum improved the process of uterine involution, however, in relation to follicular development and the percentage of conception they did not present linear correlation between the groups under study
