Resumen : La presente investigación tiene como objetivo ver la relación que tiene el capital intelectual con el rendimiento financiero del sector carrocero en el Ecuador. El capital intelectual es un factor necesario cuyos conocimientos deben ser bien implementados en las empresas, la importancia de aplicar un adecuado capital intelectual (Humano, Estructural e Intelectual) se puede ver reflejado en cada empresa con la Información Financiera que se obtuvo. Mediante el estudio se obtuvieron resultados, que permitieron establecer en qué situación se encuentra cada empresa del sector carrocero. Se utilizó el modelo del coeficiente del valor añadido VAICTM ya que es una herramienta que ayuda a cumplir el objetivo planteado, y se realizó un análisis a través de correlación de Pearson en el cual se concluyó que no existe correlaciones significativas entre las variables en estudio (capital intelectual y rendimiento financiero), es decir, el comportamiento del capital intelectual en las empresas dedicadas al sector carrocero son indiferentes a estímulos en el comportamiento de la rentabilidad financiera, hay que resaltar que de forma teórica existe gran relación entre las variables.
Descripción : The present research aims to see the relationship that intellectual capital has with the financial performance of the bodybuilding sector in Ecuador. Intellectual capital is a necessary factor whose knowledge must be well implemented in companies; the importance of applying adequate intellectual capital (Human, Structural and Intellectual) can be seen reflected in each company with the Financial Information obtained. Through the study, results were obtained, which made it possible to establish the situation of each company in the bodybuilding sector. The VAICTM added value coefficient model was used since it is a tool that helps to meet the proposed objective, and an analysis was carried out through Pearson's correlation in which it was concluded that there are no significant correlations between the variables under study ( intellectual capital and financial performance), that is, the behavior of intellectual capital in companies dedicated to the bodybuilding sector are indifferent to stimuli in the behavior of financial profitability, it should be noted that theoretically there is a great relationship between the variables.
