Abstract: Speaking is one of the most important and difficult skills to be developed in language learning. For this reason, this research work allows to know about shadowing strategy in order to improve the speaking skill. The main objective of this investigation was to determine the influence of Shadowing strategy in the development of speaking skill of the English Language in the fourth semester from Pedagogy of National and Foreign Languages career at Technical University of Ambato. Furthermore, this investigation had a qualitative-quantitative approach and it used a descriptive methodology by applying surveys to 3 teachers and 30 students in order to get important data for the investigation process. Once the data was collected, this information was tabulated and represented in graphics. Then, it was analyzed. Finally, the results obtained from the surveys carried out on students and teachers helped to conclude that shadowing strategy influences in the development of speaking skill
