| Abstract: | The objective of the present study was to describe the quality of life in adolescents who consume alcohol. The sample was of 176 students of the Educational Unit "Jacinto Collahuazo" of the third year of high school in Otavalo, Ecuador. The instruments were the Audit Scale to know if the student maintains an alcohol consumption, the Kidscreen-27 test to identify which area is affected in their quality of life and a survey to know the causes of alcohol consumption. In the results of the Audit Scale we have 53 students with moderate alcohol consumption and 3 dependent, while in the quality of life scale there is a greater affection in relation to parents and autonomy. Subsequently the survey applied to us revealed that the causes of consumption in adolescents are by peer influence, fun and sadness |
| Description: | El objetivo del presente estudio fue describir la calidad de vida en adolescentes que consumen alcohol. La muestra fue de 176 estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa “Jacinto Collahuazo” de los terceros años de bachillerato en Otavalo, Ecuador. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la Escala Audit para identificar si el estudiante mantiene un consumo de alcohol. El test Kidscreen-27 que sirvió para observar qué área está afectada en la calidad de vida y una encuesta para conocer las causas del consumo del alcohol. En los resultados de la Escala Audit se obtuvo que 53 estudiantes presentaron consumo moderado de alcohol y 3 dependientes, mientras que en la escala de calidad de vida existe una mayor afectación en cuanto a relación con los padres y autonomía. Posteriormente la encuesta aplicada nos dió a conocer que las causas del consumo en adolescentes son por influencia de los pares, diversión y tristeza. |
