Abstract: This research was performed in Liga Ambato in the province of Tungurahua. The purpose is to find out the incidence of ankle sprain grade II and to set up a protocol of treatment for every individual player who shows this pathology. This will benefit all non-amateur soccer players who can get hurt easily and in some cases very frequently. Important parameters were set for the development of the work, since the research is a quantitative approach was used the evaluation of Edema and Visual Analogue Scale (EVA), last to collect the information is the Observation Sheet to continue its treatment. At the conclusion of the investigation, it was shown that the players evaluated and treated with RICE, showed a significant improvement of recovery of their ligamentous injury. Which allows us to verify, that the technique that was applied was established in a correct way and without any delay. .
Description: El trabajo investigativo se realizó en la Liga Ambato en la provincia de Tungurahua; cuyo objetivo principal fue el de determinar la incidencia de Esguince de Tobillo grado II y establecer el protocolo de tratamiento para cada jugador que presentaba dicha patología. Beneficiando así a todos los jugadores no amateur que pueden sufrir lesiones fácilmente y que en algunos casos son muy frecuentes. Se enmarcaron parámetros importantes para el desarrollo del trabajo, ya que la investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo se empleó la valoración de Edema y la Escala Visual Analógica (EVA), por ultimo para recopilar la información es la Ficha de Observación para seguir su tratamiento. Al concluir la investigación, se demostró que los jugadores evaluados y tratados con RICE, presentaron una mejoría significativa de recuperación de su lesión ligamentosa. Lo que nos permite constatar, que la técnica que se aplicó se estableció de una manera correcta y sin ninguna demora.
