Módulo gerencial aplicando Business Intelligence (BI) para la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Mushuc Runa

Abstract

ABSTRACT Currently the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Mushuc Runa is a financial entity, with a big number of agencies, the same that are dedicated to provide products and services to the society, between which are Credits, Investments, Savings, Bank Transfers, Payments, etc. The Cooperative uses a management module with basic functionalities, which do not facilitate the analysis of various relevant indicators such as Late Payment, Balance Portfolio, Recovered Portfolio, Loan Disbursement, Balance sheet, Savings and Credits, which currently serve for decision making, in addition to the use of spreadsheets to analyze management information, the same that affects report generation time, for this reason, in this present research work, the development of a management module is proposed applying Business Intelligence. – Which, based on the requirements obtained through of the observation and interview to the personnel of the Systems and Risks Department, in addition to the capabilities that a BI tool should to have according to Gartner Peer Insights reviewers, determined to use Pentaho Community tools, which was used for the ETL processes (Extraction, Transformation and Loading), in addition to the creation of OLAP cubes, reports, and the different Dashboards for displaying the information. The Scrum methodology allowed specifying the requirements to fulfill in the development of the project, through user stories, in addition to the development of Data Marts in the PostgreSQL database manager, through the Hefesto methodology. On the other hand, the ETL processes are represented by the BPMN notation, the same the allows modeling business processes, for a better understanding of the user.
