Efectividad del jabón de coco como control alternativo de Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae) en el cultivo de fresa (Fragaria vesca) variedad Albión

Abstract

The study "Effectiveness of Coconut Soap as an alternative control of Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae) in the strawberry crop (Fragaria vesca) variety Albión." Was carried out at the Technical University of Ambato, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, the objective of the present work is: To evaluate the effectiveness of coconut soap in the alternative control of Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae) in the cultivation of strawberry (Fragaria vesca) variety Albión. The method that was used for the investigation was the experimental Complete Random Block, and the technique used was observation in the laboratory where the data were collected. The most outstanding results of the investigation regarding female mortality of T. urticae at 48 hours after application was the highest dose of Coconut soap + Abamectin (5 cc / l + 0.5cc / l). Similar results were obtained in fertility (oviposition) because the same treatment and dose Coconut soap + Abamectin (5 cc / l + 0.5cc / l) with 94.03% caused one of the best effects. Regarding the longevity parameter, the treatment that caused a lower longevity was the treatment Coconut soap + Abamectin dose three (5 cc / l + 0.5 cc / l) with a 64.66% effect. The research work must be carried out in the field phase to verify in which phase the best results are obtained.
