Zusammenfassung: En la actualidad existen destinos turísticos donde el acceso es limitado para la población LGBT (Lesbianas Gais, Bisexuales, Transexuales), porque aún predomina la homofobia por parte de prestadores turísticos y la población en general, causando incomodidad, miedo e insatisfacción al momento de recibir los servicios. El objetivo principal de la investigación desarrollada en 2020, fue identificar la perspectiva del turista gay con respecto a la experiencia turística, a través de un muestreo referencial, en donde se analizaron 100 turistas gais que visitan la zona turística “La Mariscal” en la ciudad de Quito, por lo que se planteó una metodología cuantitativa en la que predomina un enfoque positivista y explica la realidad a partir de métodos de tipo transversal descriptivo con una lógica deductiva, por medio del instrumento como es el cuestionario, estructurado en dos partes, el mismo que fue elaborado en la plataforma de Google Form y sometido a un análisis de “Confiabilidad de Cronbach” en donde se obtuvo 0,864 que se considera un valor aceptable, y se realizó una prueba de Chi cuadrado que permite la evaluación de la independencia entre las dos variables. Los resultados muestran que existen 4 problemas principales que afectan a los turistas gais con respecto a la experiencia turística, también se obtuvieron datos sociodemográficos para obtener el perfil del turista gay que visita la zona “La Mariscal”, identificando que la mayor parte de turistas se encuentran en la categoría de céntricos, debido a que muestran características de alocéntricos y psicocéntricos según la teoría de Plog y finalmente se planteó acciones que permitan al turista gay posicionarse en las actividades de turismo y de esa manera se brinde innovación, experiencias únicas basada en los valores culturales de los ecuatorianos, sin barreras ni prejuicios, respetando la orientación sexual, siendo tolerantes y sobretodo que existan espacios abiertos y amigables.
Beschreibung: Currently there are tourist destinations where the access is limited for the LGBT comunity (Lesbian Gays, Bisexuals, Transsexuals), because homophobia still predominates by tourist providers and the general population, causing discomfort, fear and dissatisfaction at the time of receiving services. The main objective of the research developed was to identify the perspective of the gay tourist with respect to the tourist experience, through a referential sampling of 100 gay tourists that visiting the tourist area "La Mariscal" in the city of Quito. Therefore, was proposed a quantitative methodology in which a positivist approach predominates and explains the reality from descriptive transversal methods with a deductive logic, by means of the instrument like the questionnaire, structured in two parts, the same was elaborated in the Google Form platform and subjected to an analysis of "Cronbach's reliability" where 0.864 was obtained, which is considered an acceptable value, and a Chi-square test was performed that allows the evaluation of the independence between the two variables. The results show that there are 4 main problems that affect gay tourists with respect to the tourist experience. Also, a sociodemographic data was obtained to have the profile of the gay tourist who visits the area "La Mariscal", identifying that most tourists are in the category of centric, because they show characteristics of allocentric and psychocentric, according to Plog and finally were proposed actions that allow the tourist gay position in tourism activities and thus provide innovation, unique experiences based on the cultural values of Ecuadorians, without barriers or prejudices, respecting sexual orientation, being tolerant and above all that there are open and friendly spaces.
