Abstract: Preserving the customs and traditions that Ecuador possesses, is the task of all professions, which if possible are able to contribute to this fact, since, due to globalization, there is a risk of contaminating or even losing the identity of the manifestations cultural and values that gave rise to the folklore surrounding these festivities. All these expressions, rites and celebrations have a unique language which is expressed through compositional elements, loaded with unique meanings and symbology of each holiday, same as when transmitted orally, they run the risk of being lost or altered, and that according to the place and context in which the tradition is born, acquires a different meaning. Such is the case of the Diablada Pillareña, that despite being such a popular holiday and having roots in the Andean demonstration, it has a unique symbolism typical of the pillareños, who have maintained this tradition until the present times, however, it has He considered a remarkable transformation in his dress, which reflects a problem of acculturation.
Description: Preservar las costumbres y tradiciones que posee el Ecuador, es tarea de todas las profesiones, que en lo posible sean capaces de contribuir a este hecho, ya que, debido a la globalización, existe el riesgo de contaminar o incluso perder la identidad de las manifestaciones culturales y los valores que dieron origen al folklore que rodea dichas festividades. Todas estas expresiones, ritos y celebraciones poseen un idioma único el cual se expresa a través elementos compositivos, cargados de significados y simbología únicos y propios de cada festividad, mismos que al ser transmitidos de forma oral, corren el riesgo de perderse o alterarse, ya que según el lugar y contexto en que nace la tradición, adquiere un significado diferente. Tal es el caso de la Diablada Pillareña, que pese a ser una festividad tan popular y tener raíces en la manifestación Andinas, posee un simbolismo único y propio de los pillareños, los cuales han mantenido esta tradición hasta los tiempos actuales, sin embargo, ha habido una transformación notable en su vestimenta, que refleja un problema de aculturación.
