Abstract

In the following clinical case analysis on "Sensory stimulation in gross motor development in a patient with agenesis of the corpus callosum" female sex of 10 months of age. The infant is a native of the Quero canton of Tungurahua province. To gather all the information it is necessary to collect pediatric care (medical history), epicrisis in which all the interventions and medical, neurological, traumatological referrals are detailed from the beginning to rule out possible hip malformations, their reports, evaluations and results who supported the diagnosis as well as its pharmacological treatment. In addition, information is obtained from her mother and close relatives who are in charge of the upbringing of the girl (Aunt and grandmother), who closely follow her motor development, as well as the different daily activities she performs. It details the difficulties that the girl presents in relation to the Nelson Ortiz Development Scale, to finalize with a treatment plan in Early Stimulation to improve the gross motor development of the patient in question. It is necessary to emphasize that all the procedures and treatments of the infant were at a private and totally ambulatory level. For this research, scientific articles, certified medical journals, virtual books and the Nelson Ortiz development scale were used to support the present analysis and proposed treatment plan.
