Abstract: El presente trabajo de investigación titulado “Revalorización de los Saberes Ancestrales Agrícolas de las Familias del caserío Yanahurco”, perteneciente al cantón Mocha, provincia Tungurahua, el caserío esta compuesto por familias mestizas en su totalidad, con una población total de 1715 habitantes de los cuales el 51.30% son hombres y el 47.7% son mujeres. Se estima 4.9 miembros por familia, en promedio. Ubicado geográficamente a una altitud de 2970 – 3190 msnm, latitud: 1° 23’ 14’’ S. longitud: 78° 37’ 78’’ W, con una temperatura media anual: 13.3 °C, Humedad relativa de 70%, precipitación Media Anual de 600 mm. La necesidad de Revalorizar los Saberes y Conocimientos Ancestrales está enfocada en valorar algunos conocimientos y prácticas ancestrales de los agricultores que han superado los setenta años de vida y haber dedicado toda su existencia a la agricultura como fuente de sobrevivencia, además de buscar una forma en la que aquellos conocimientos se los pueda adaptar en la actualidad, a los distintos sistemas de producción convencionales.
Description: This research work entitled "Revaluation of Agricultural Ancestral Knowledge of the Families of the Yanahurco farmhouse", belonging to the Mocha canton, Tungurahua province, the hamlet is composed of mestizo families in its entirety, with a total population of 1715 inhabitants of which 51.30% are men and 47.7% are women. It is estimated 4.9 members per family, on average. Located geographically at an altitude of 2970 - 3190 masl, latitude: 1 ° 23 '14' 'S. longitude: 78 ° 37' 78 '' W, with an average annual temperature: 13.3 ° C, relative humidity of 70%, precipitation Annual average of 600 mm. The need to revalue knowledge and ancestral knowledge is focused on valuing some knowledge and ancestral practices of farmers who have passed the seventy years of life and have dedicated their entire existence to agriculture as a source of survival, as well as looking for a way to that those knowledge can be adapted at present, to the different conventional production systems.
