Semiótica de la cultura indígena Salasaca para la aplicación en el diseño de módulos de exhibición

Abstract

The present research aims to study the semiotic of the Indigenous culture Salasaca for the application in the design of modules of exhibition in the central square of the town, for the development of the community. The aim is interpret the semiotics of the Salasa culture with the purpose of spreading the indigenous thought, worldview, traditions and customs of Salasaca, through the analysis of figures and geometric patterns that the craftsmen weave daily showing the ancestral values coming from the cosmic vision and Andean beliefs. The proposal of the projet is create an experiential landscape that reflects the identity of the culture, creating areas inside the fair, with the purpose of promoting and exchanging ancestral knowledge and experiences, through the interaction that is generated between the space and people. This part creates a connection between man and nature called (PACHAMAMA). It is importan analyze the principles of the worldview, the structures of ordering and the structures of formation, all these explain the indigenous ideology, which have been taken as point of reference of the laws of bipartition and tripartition, which in this project represents the Pachamama and the humans, incorporating the terminology Hananpacha, kaipacha and Ukupacha that are representations incorporated in the daily life of the indigenous. The architectural project use the most important iconographic representations for the Salasaca indigenous culture. Geometrical figures such as the square (that represents the Pachamama or the nature) however, the triangle was incorporated by the analysis of the researcher (that represents the human being man and woman) and parts of the dress of the Salasaca culture such as: Hat, Poncho, Shirt and pants, Anaco, Chumbi and Ucupachallina; these elements are the main metaphorical axis of the project. These elements are responsible for addressing the symbolism, the form and function of each space proposed. In conclusion, the user will be encouraged to develop the exhibition and sale activity within the exhibition module.
