Resumen : The present research was conducted to evaluate three percentages of yeast of craft beer 2%, 4% and 6%, in the drinking water, to improve the production indexes of chickens for fattening. Were used 240 birds of day of age of the line Cobb 500 between males and females distributed in 4 treatments with 3 replicates in batches of 20 chickens per experimental unit in a randomized complete block design (RCBD). The analysis was made of variance (ADEVA), according to experimental design raised. The research was conducted on the farm “San Luis” located in the canton Cevallos, Tungurahua province at an altitude of 2768 meters above sea level for a period of 56 days from the day of receiving the chickens for fattening. The treatments to be investigated are handled in the following manner; commercial balanced and yeast of craft beer in the drinking water at concentrations of 2%, 4% and 6% denominated T1, T2, T3, respectively; while the control treatment formulated with commercial balanced and plain water was the T0. The best results on the production indexes were obtained with T3, the food ration composed of commercial balanced and drinking water with yeast of craft beer to 6%, as it was observed a better feed conversion accumulated in the T3 with a value of 2.01, compared to the other treatments T2, T1 and T0 that gave values of 2.07; 2.10 and 2.13 respectively, as well as the weight gain was higher in the T3 with an average value of 3390 g, compared to the other treatments T2, T1 and T0 that obtained mean values of 3296,43 g, 3245,94 g, and 3215,41g respectively. Similarly was evidence the best index of European efficiency in the T3 with an average value of 294,17 compared to the other treatments T2, T1 and T0 that obtained mean values of 283,55; 275,02 and 255,44. With regard to the consumption of food there was no significant difference in any of the treatments. The mortality was presented in the treatments T0, T1, T2 and T3 with the following values 6,67%, 1,67%, 1,67% and 3.34% respectively which gives a percentage of the total research of 3.3%.
