Item El rol del docente y la igualdad de género en el aula de clases(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2023-08) Chiluisa Chiluisa, Karina Mishel; Espín Miniguano, Anita DalilaGender equality, although much progress has been made in some aspects, there are still some gender gaps, so gender equality aims to have the same conditions, opportunities, procedures, among others, regardless of gender, especially in education. For this reason, the present research project seeks to determine the influence of the teacher's role and gender equality in the classroom, for which we worked through a descriptive correlational, quantitative approach. The cross-sectional survey instrument was used based on a validated questionnaire, which was applied to 110 seventh semester students of the careers of Social Work, Law and Social Communication of the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato, the questionnaire consists of two sections such as: the teaching role that has 10 questions and the gender equality section that has 11 questions, the same that was applied online using the Google Forms platform. Once the results were applied and analyzed by means of a statistical program and the Excel application for the elaboration of the scale table and the triangulation of data through the bibliographic review of other research, it is concluded that the teacher teaches in values, participatory, flexible, collaborative and interactive, and also encourages the autonomous work of the students through an integral, transversal training and pedagogical innovation, which implies achieving a quality and inclusive education. In addition, both men and women stated that the average level of gender equality predominates in the classroom. Finally, it is evident that the role of the teacher influences gender equality in the classroom, so the role of the teacher and the educational institution plays a very important role in minimizing these gaps and making this longed-for gender equality a reality.Item Laberintos de cristal y el acceso de la mujer a puestos de nivel jerárquico superior y mandos medios del GAD Municipal de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Unidad de Posgrado, Maestria en Trabajo Social, 2021-04) Vaca Soria, Natali Karina; Quiroga López, Malena KarinaIn the present research work, the non-experimental methodology has been taken as a reference, a quantitative modality of exploratory scope, descriptive and correlational, since the objectives set out in the present study are taken into account, as well as a bibliographic review, which favored have information from highly reliable and updated sources related to the two research variables. In this work, the Questionnaire for Measurement of Empowerment in Women (IMEM) was used with the objective of determining the empowerment index in the participants who are occupying hierarchical positions and middle management to know the existence of the glass labyrinths, at their Once the Gender Ideology Scale (EIG) was applied to give greater significance about women and the barriers they may encounter when performing or accessing a position of high responsibility in the Municipal GAD of Ambato. The different approaches about the limitations and gender discrimination that women have had to go through throughout history has meant that today there are a number of organizations that fight for equal opportunities between men and women, these Organizations make known to a macho society the multiple roles that women play, such as being a woman, mother, wife, worker among others, which makes women have greater ability to function in many areas without the need to neglect any facet , which is not well seen by male society, which determines that women should be in the care of the home and children or that they play inferior roles in the workplace and that they do not have the same opportunities as a man has to agree to occupy high-profile positions because they feel that women do not have that leadership or decision-making capacity. The women has the ability to access positions at a higher hierarchical level or middle management, and will depend on various aspects such as adequate academic and professional training. The type of personality traits, which makes women today perform jobs that formerly only men did.Item Las acciones afirmativas como políticas públicas de igualdad de género en un estado constitucional de derechos(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Unidad de Posgrado, Maestria en Derecho Constitucional, 2020-11) Chávez Toscano, Ivonne Alejandra; Vargas Villacrés, Borman RenánAffirmative action public policies, also known as positive discrimination policies, have been implemented in Ecuador with the aim of mitigating the multiple factors that cause conditions of discrimination and inequality. Most of all, those that are based on social constructions of gender. According to Rawls (2001, p. 29) “Undeserved inequalities require compensation; and since the inequalities of birth and natural gifts are undeserved, they will have to be compensated in some way”. Thus, the creation of the famous affirmative actions is justified, having as a fundamental pillar the right to gender equality that is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador. However, in recent times, several questions have emerged. For example: Why, despite legislative progress in the field of human rights, are there still such marked phenomena of inequality ?; What is stopping a change in the culture and in the symbolic references of the masculine and feminine ?; Are the affirmative actions implemented in Ecuador really working to generate gender equality or do they only reinforce sexist stereotypes ?; How do the design of public policies with a gender perspective based on social constructions of stereotypes affect the social imaginary? The problem that this research work aims to focus on is precisely the impact of the results generated by the application of affirmative actions in our environment. In such a way that it is demonstrated how those, contrary to precautionary the constitutional right of gender equality, are violating it, strengthening the social stereotypes between men and women. As explained in the previous paragraphs, affirmative actions are being created, not only in Ecuador but in various parts of the world. Thus, they are taken as a means of reducing violence and inequality between men and women. However; The present investigation will criticize that this type of affirmative action implies in itself a reinforcement of stereotypes and protection messages for a certain group that needs special measures by the State. Consequently, said situation generates contradiction and debate regarding gender equality as a constitutional right.
