    Body shaming y las relaciones interpersonales en adolescentes

    Body shaming is a relatively new phenomenon present in the digital world, enhanced by the rise of technology and social networks, it consists of the act of shaming another for their body or physical appearance through negative comments or criticisms towards another person, a problem that has been socially normalized, although this phenomenon has not yet been investigated in the Ecuadorian context, it does not mean that it does not occur among adolescents, because they are the ones who are most exposed to these technological social phenomena, the impact of their The practice may not influence your interpersonal relationships, but it does influence your physical and psychological well-being, putting your integrity and quality of life at risk.The objective of the research is to determine the influence of body shaming on the interpersonal relationships of adolescent students of the “Pelileo” Educational Unit Tungurahua- Ecuador; The research has a quantitative approach of an exploratory, descriptive and correlational nature, working with a population sample of 173 adolescent students between the ages of 15 and 18. To study the independent variable, the Zulkifli et al. questionnaire was used. (2023), composed of two sections that make up 19 items; On the other hand, to study the dependent variable, the Casapía Interpersonal Relations questionnaire (2019) was used, composed of 4 dimensions, making up 32 questions; Both instruments demonstrate reliability and validity. The results obtained determined that body shaming does not influence the interpersonal relationships of adolescents, the instruments also revealed the moderate perception of the phenomenon in their body image, the adolescents' manifestations about the types of shame, implications and opinions about body shaming. shaming, in addition, interpersonal relationships are located at a medium level with the majority representing good management of social, communication and social interaction skills. The research concludes with the importance of a continued study on body shaming in order to more deeply understand its complexities and implications on emotional and social development, as well as focus on the defense mechanisms with which adolescents act to about dealing with this phenomenon and sustaining their interpersonal relationships

    Phubbing y habilidades sociales en estudiantes de primero y segundo de bachillerato

    In the digital age, phubbing has emerged as a growing concern, describing the trend of prioritizing the phone over social interactions. This behavior, although it may seem harmless, significantly impacts personal relationships and emotional well-being, especially in educational settings such as high school. Social skills, essential for personal and academic development, are affected by the excessive use of technological devices such as mobile phones, which can hinder the ability to interact effectively with others. This study focused on investigating the relationship between first- and second-year high school students. The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship of Phubbing and social skills in firstand second-year high school students of the La Merced-Ambato Educational Unit. The study was carried out with a quantitative approach, using a descriptive and correlational design. We worked with a sample of 60 first and second high school students. For the analysis of variables, Cumpa's Phubbing Scale (2017) and Goldstein's Social Skills Evaluation Scale (1980) were applied through a survey in Google Forms. The results revealed high levels of Phubbing in dimensions such as anxiety-insomnia (58.3%), dependency (60.0%) and interpersonal relationships (53.3%). In contrast, a normal level of social skills was found in the sample studied. A strong negative correlation (-0.678) was identified between phubbing and social skills, indicating that excessive mobile phone use is associated with a significant reduction in students' ability to interact effectively unsocial situations, manage emotions, plan appropriately. and resolve conflicts without resorting to aggression. This study highlights the importance of addressing Phubbing as a problem that can affect the social and emotional development of first and second high school students, underlining the need to promote a balanced and conscious use of technology to promote healthy social skills in this population through strategic programs to address the latent problem

    Emotional leadership in the world allows recognizing the importance of emotions and skills that provide emotional intelligence in different contexts, it is fascinating how people can influence others, the leader who masters the skills of emotional intelligence can facilitate the process of building positive interpersonal relationships based on communication, respect and commitment towards the achievement of common goals. In the educational environment, emotional leadership generates motivation, positive learning climates, emotionally supportive environments, changes the mentality and focuses on individual and group growth, provides coping strategies that guide students to overcome challenges and increase their academic performance. Taking into account these aspects, the present research seeks to determine the incidence of emotional leadership in the academic performance of students of the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato, the methodology has a quantitative approach, using a descriptive-correlational level, it was conducted with a population of 881 students, obtaining a sample of 268 which allowed establishing peculiar characteristics. An instrument was designed to identify the level of emotional leadership in university students, consisting of 29 items, made up of two dimensions: emotional intelligence and emotional leadership styles, which was subjected to validity and reliability tests. The results showed that there is an incidence of emotional leadership in the academic performance of university students, data obtained through the Rho Spearman statistical test with a moderate positive correlation, the higher the level of emotional leadership, the higher the level of academic performance.

    The present investigation is developed due to the need to analyze the influence of interpersonal relationships in the culture of peace in the students of higher basic education of the "Unidad Educativa Alicia Macuard de Yerovi". For the execution of the research, a methodology with a quantitative approach was used, where a survey of 38 items was prepared and applied to a population of 84. Subsequently, the expert validation technique and the analysis of the Validity Coefficient of Content in addition to verifying the reliability of the questionnaire by applying the "Cronbach's Alpha" method. The information obtained was tabulated, generating tables and statistical graphs that allowed reaching the results extracted from the source. The hypothesis raised in the investigation was verified through the correlation of Spearman's Rho test, where it was verified that interpersonal relationships are significantly related to the culture of peace. Based on the results obtained, the quality of the social interactions of the students in the school environment is evidenced, which in general terms present a moderate level with areas in which they can be improved where dialogue and effective communication are essential factors for the construction of an adequate culture of peace in the educational field. In addition, the students demonstrate a moderate level in terms of conflict resolution, acceptance and assertiveness, there is a tendency towards positive attitudes, sometimes avoiding discussions and judgments towards their peers, within the framework of an inclusive, democratic and peaceful coexistence environment.

    Bustos López, M and Pino, E (2023). "SOCIAL AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS IN OLDER ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES". Technical University of Ambato. Ambato, Ecuador. The objective of this research work was to determine the influence of social and interpersonal relationships in adults with disabilities. It was carried out under a Mixed Approach, with Exploratory, Descriptive and Correlational Research levels, Analytical and Inductive Methods and by Field and bibliographic place. The survey was used as a data collection technique, for which a 50-item test distributed in 6 dimensions (social and interpersonal relationships) and a 10-item questionnaire (informative data on disability) were designed and implemented, which were carried out with 35 partners (15 M and 20 F). It was determined that Social and Interpersonal Relationships play a fundamental role in the life of all people, older adults with disabilities have a deficit in most social skills especially in those related to advanced skills, social skills to be able to integrate or participate, even in skills related to feelings to relate to others. Therefore, the absence of information and knowledge on the part of public and private institutions, regarding compliance with the ROL, in establishing the respective discount, is represented by 60%. In the same line, it is significant that 31% do not create cultural programs to strengthen their sense of belonging to the group, and it is also supported by 40% that people with disabilities have suffered some kind of discrimination. Finally, a comparative table was made, where it was found that the obstacles that older adults with disabilities have to face in their daily life, where the valuation and anticipated judgments based on tradition and stereotypes, cause a superficial estimation of people that only leads to discrimination and exclusion of them.

    This study emphasizes the experiences and perceptions of risks of the students of the Educational Unit "Province of Cotopaxi", taking into account the practices and perceptions in relation to the risk carried out by the Covid-19 Taking into account the problem, which, at present, has caused impacts on the population, by COVID-19 and confinement, it is possible to observe cases of anxiety, depression, sadness and stress, deepening and disproportionate changes in relationships interpersonal skills of young people. The importance of confinement measures for young people safeguarding human lives, young people were affected by the confinement in their homes, the freedom they had before COVID19, the interpersonal relationships of young people who were affected in the, without Being able to develop in the environment that they were used to, day by day I allow them to maintain good relationships within the home. For the execution of the research, a methodology with a qualitative approach was used, interviews, field diary and home visits were used, which gave us information about each of the young people who were part of the interview carried out with each one of them In addition, leisure in youth developed new measures and adaptations necessary to continue with their activities, physical and pedagogical, guaranteeing the protection of well-being and everything that worked safely, the use of social networks, has as a double-edged tool when it comes to of a crisis, social networks are not a problem rather who is behind it

    El phubbing y las relaciones interpersonales en los estudiantes de la Carrera de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato

    investigation of a descriptive, correlational nature, applied to a population of 188 students, aims to determine the existence of a relationship between phubbing and the interpersonal relationships of the students of the Social Work career of the Universidad Técnica de Ambato. For this, two instruments were used to measure the independent variable, an inquiry that aims to know the problematic use of mobile technologies, which consists of four subscales, each to establish attitudes towards acceptance, respect, authenticity and stability of interpersonal relationships. The information collected reflects considerable rates of phubbing in university students, as well as it incites to social isolation and causes various psychosocial damages that affect the well- being of the person. Based on the obtained results, it has been considered necessary to design a social campaign to avoid social isolation and the wastage of interpersonal relationships, caused by phubbing, it has been aimed at students of the Social Work career of the Universidad Técnica de Ambato, it consists of several activities that are focused at socializing, raise awareness and promote the responsible use of cell phones and the importance of social relationships.

    This research analyzes one of the social problems that has remained and still remains a topic of debate in society, where men are the main entities of study. It seeks to analyze and know why men violated by their partner and in turn seek methods to stop this problem, taking into account that it is as normal as violence against women. For many years the masculine gender has remained the strongest, according to the functions it performs, but today gender equality and guarantees for the female gender, has allowed human rights to be violated in a certain way, causing psychological and somewhat physical damage, damaging the physical and mental integrity of the individual. During the investigation, we will see that psychological violence towards men is the most practiced, since the female gender does not express their anger in a certain way with physical aggression or beatings. It seeks to emphasize that violence against men is also an important issue to eradicate, since we all enjoy the same constitutional rights, which guarantee physical and mental well-being in each of the individuals.

    Las relaciones interpersonales y la inclusión social de las personas con discapacidad visual en la Unidad Educativa Julius Doepfner de la Ciudad de Ambato

    This research aimed to promote the interpersonal relationships and social inclusion of children and youth with visual impairment of the Unidad Educativa Julius Doepfner of the city of Ambato, in recognition of the skills and potential they possess, as well as also to the respect of their condition of life and their development in society. Addressing the issue of social inclusion is to seek a social interrelation between people with disabilities and society, often create social stereotypes, marginalization and grief for this human group, which reduce their self-esteem to consider non-productive. The methodology used in the investigative process was correlational and within the latter research, techniques applied, such as the survey and the interview with the purpose of gathering information about interpersonal relationships and social inclusion of the investigated. With the results obtained, conclusions were drawn that determined the existing shortcomings in the development of skills and competences of labor inclusion for people with visual impairment in society, in addition to discrimination and lack of acceptance of these people; which is why it was proposed as a recommendation to carry out a manual of process for the socio-labor inclusion of people with visual impairment of the Unidad Educativa Julius Doepfner at the Cooperativa San Francisco Ltda., in the city of Ambato; the same one that will have as main objective to create a practical instrument that guides to the inhabitants of the city of Ambato on the acceptance and participation that people with visual disability in their environment and the necessity to develop actions of awareness that involve both the family as well as to the same person with disabilities, thus recognizing their rights, promoting equal opportunities in society and facilitating their accessibility.
