Item Comunicación familiar y su relación con la autoestima en estudiantes universitarios(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-02) Moreta Pilco, Nahomi Estefania; Espín Miniguano, Anita DalilaThe Ecuadorian family is undergoing changes due to various causes, most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. These disjunctures have disturbed the dynamics and mental well-being of household members, which affects the young people's self-steem. A simple random probability sampling was employed, covering 377 university students. The study was located in a post-positivist paradigm, with a nonexperimental design of quantitative approach, with a descriptive-correlational level of research and cross-sectional in nature. Data were collected through the application of the Parent/Adolescent Family Communication Scale and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Among the most outstanding results, it is evident that 47.5% of the students maintain a high level of communication with their mothers, while 49.3% exhibit a low level of communication with respect to their fathers.
