Item Evaluación de un cultivo microbiano como promotor de crecimiento en pollos de engorde(2017) Escobar Parra, Jorge Enrique; Guerrero, RicardoIn the present investigation, a microbial culture was evaluated as a growth promoter in broiler chickens, production indexes of chickens supplemented with a microbial culture and antibiotics used as growth promoters (Enramycin, Virginiamycin, Colistin Sulfate) were compared. We used 210 birds divided into four treatments of 42 animals with 3 replicates per treatment: control T0; T1 microbial culture; T2 enramycin; T3 virginiamycin; And T4 colistin sulfate. We performed an analysis of variance ADEVA and an analysis of means of treatments under TUKEY at 95% probability and it was observed that in the three different phases of life of the birds, there were no significant differences between treatments for body weight, food consumption , Food conversion, where microbial culture presented favorable results demonstrating the same efficacy as the treatments with antibiotics. When comparing costs, it was determined that the microbial culture is considerably more economical than the antibiotics used in this research, obtaining a higher benefit / cost ratio (B / C), therefore this is one of the main advantages of this ecological treatment.
