Item FUNCIONES MOTORAS Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA LATERALIDAD EN ESCOLARES(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Fisioterapia, 2024-03-18) Moreta Chiliquinga, Cynthia Verenice; Moscoso Córdova, Grace VerónicaThis research project deals with motor functions and the relationship with laterality in schoolchildren. Behavioural preference, specifically for the use of one side of the body, begins at a very early age, which leads human beings to present asymmetries, the type of motor task performed will influence them. Evaluations were applied to a population of 24 students between 7 and 12 years of age of both sexes where the laterality and motor functions of the schoolchildren were evaluated. These tests were used with a single assessment which lasted 15 to 20 minutes. The present project has a quantitative approach, since different tests were applied, among them the Harris test that evaluates laterality and the Bruininks-Oseretsky test (BOT 2) that evaluates motor skills, where numerical and categorical values could be obtained, which were related to the aforementioned tests. It is a transversal analytical study, seeking to relate the motor functions and laterality of the students. The result was that the motor competence of the students is related to the laterality of each one of them, and it was also observed that the average of the schoolchildren is related to these two factors. In conclusion, it can be said that this research allowed us to understand the importance of the physical and cognitive process in the growth of children, and it was also possible to demonstrate that the specific lateral preferences and their correlations with laterality tend to vary considerably according to the task and individual characteristics at different ages of development. Mg., Grace VerónicaThe present research project had the unknown of determining the effects of a plan of active breaks through virtual modality in schoolchildren of the Ricardo Descalzi Educational Unit. A first socialization of the project was carried out with the representatives of the schoolchildren and with a total of 16 participants between the ages of 5 to 8 years, of which 6 were male and 10 females. With the application of the two tests (C-MAFYCS and PAQ-C), which with good validity allow us to know the physical state and sedentary habits that the participant presents in the course of a week. This plan of active breaks was applied for a month, consisting of 5 sessions per week, each one varying from 5 to 12 minutes of application, where stretching, moderate and vigorous physical activities, coordinated bilateral activities, fine motor activities and thick. The research presents a qualitative-quantitative descriptive approach, due to the methodology used in data collection and its analysis, with a longitudinal prospective design, due to the application of second evaluations in order to determine the effects of the active break plan in schoolchildren Basic Elementary. xiii The effects found in this study regarding the active break plan are related to physical performance; the schoolchildren showed an increase of 18.75% in their level of physical activity, predominantly in female participants with an average of between 5 to 8 years old; Another effect is the improvement in sedentary behavior, with a reduction in their sedentary behaviors, obtaining 43.75% of the population with moderate sedentary habits, and with a 25% improvement in their body mass index, reducing harmful weights. A positive effect of the active break plan applied on schoolchildren with low physical performance was verified, where an increase in their level of physical activity was obtained, generating a balance in the body mass indexes and moderating the sedentary behaviors that the participants presentedItem “Pie plano y su relación con la escoliosis en escolares”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Fisica, 2017-06-01) Rivera Núñez, Magdalena Elizabeth; Salvador Arroba, Ruth Eulalia Dra.This study addressed the presence of flat feet and their relationship to scoliosis, the study population was in school children belonging to the Center for Child Development "Romina I and II" and the Educational Unit "Los Sauces" in the city of Ambato. A postural assessment sheet was used to analyze the posture of each child in an integral manner, as well as the Adams test for the diagnosis of scoliosis, in addition to the conventional plantings to assess the type of alteration Is manifested in the feet of schoolchildren. The investigated population was 117 schoolchildren between 3 and 13 years of age in which flat feet were found in 53.8% of schoolchildren, with the male gender being more likely to be 58.7%. Scoliosis was present in 62% of schoolchildren, and in the male group it was more frequent with 63%; in relation to the two variables, the results were that 48.7% of the students evaluated presented both flat feet and scoliosis. The children of school age are prone to suffer alterations in their locomotor apparatus the same that must be taken into account to avoid future complications of health, in addition it was concluded that the variables studied have dependence on each other since by checking the hypothesis With frequency statistics, scoliosis is associated in 90.4% with the presence of flat feet.Item “Actitud postural en sedestación en escolares durante su jornada de clases en la Unidad Educativa Mario Cobo Barona”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Fisica, 2017-02-01) Jiménez Navas, Yadira Elizabeth; Naranjo Reino, María Teresa Lcda. Ft.In this investigation we determined the position attitudes in sedestation in students during the day of classes, chose a population infantile pertaining to the Educative Unit Mario Cobo Barona of you take care of it of Ambato and its sedentary position is observed of a direct form during the period of attention the professor. Using a card of observation for each boy or girl that it contains different parameters from the sedentary position: type of position, position of the spine, support of the feet in the ground, crossing of legs and feet, support in the seat, use of the endorsement, flexion of knee, asymmetric support on the table, rotation of the trunk and position of the neck. A statistical analysis of the data is made comparing the sedentary position that they adopt children. The Children who were evaluated were with ages included between the 6-13 years. The adopted sedentary position with greater percentage is the following one: previous sedentary position (49%), raised position of the spine (57%), support to the bottom of the seat (54%), and flexion of the cervical column (50%). The children in scholastic age studied do not adopt the sedentary position correct and recommended by numerous authors. They appear differences in the sedentary position of the children of different courses which without a doubt is in relation to the dimensions of the used furniture and the use of the knapsacks on this which detrimentally a position vicious person it originates functional pathologies of the spine. Reason why the objectives raised in this work are focused clearly to an aim and with ascertainable results. In order to give attention to the problem one has seted out to design a plan of prevention and promotion for the correct sedestation.
