(2025-03-05) Benavides Paredes, Sandra Anabel; Cueva Rubio, María Augusta; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica
Anxiety refers to a complex response system involving cognitive, physiological and behavioral processes; on the other hand, experiential avoidance is a phenomenon that consists of avoiding unpleasant thoughts, emotions or sensations instead of accepting them. The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between levels of anxiety and experiential avoidance in public servants. The sample used was 150 employees of a public institution in the Pelileo canton, province of Tungurahua. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, crosssectional and correlational scope. The variables were measured through the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire - II (AAQ-II). The results showed that there is a high positive correlation between the following variables (Rho=0.701 p<0.001). Therefore, it is concluded that the higher the level of anxiety, the higher the degree of experiential avoidance in public servants.

Adolescence is a transitional stage characterized by physical and emotional changes . Adolescents are more prone to develop mental health problems. Anxiety and video game dependence are phenomena that have increased in prevalence in recent years in adolescents, reflecting a significant challenge. Therefore, the aim of the study was to determine the relationship between anxiety and dependence on video games in adolescents between 13 and 19 years of age in the rural sector. The study used a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design and correlational scope, with a cross-sectional cut. The instrument used to assess anxiety was the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and the Test of Video Game Dependence (TDV) was used to assess video game dependence. After analyzing the results, a prevalence of moderate anxiet y and a low level of video game dependence were found. In addition, significant differenc e s were observed between men and women in video game dependence, with men having a higher score. Finally, it was found that there was a slight positive relationship betwee n the variables studied.

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-09-06) Campos Paredes, Katheryn Andrea; Flores Hernández, Verónica Fernanda
Body image is the perception that a person has of their own body, which can be either positive or negative. A negative perception can result in physical and emotional discomfort. The objective of this research was to de-termine the relationship between the level of body image satisfaction and anxiety in adolescents since this stage led to several physical and emotional changes. The Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) was used to evaluate the level of body image dissatisfaction and Beck’s Anxiety Inventory (BAI) was used to calculate anxiety. This study was managed under a quantitative approach of non-experimen tal design with a descriptive-correlational scope with a cross-sectional section. Based on the results, it was concluded that there is a mild positive correlation, which indicates that the greater the dissatisfaction of the body image, the greater the likelihood of experiencing anxiety symptoms. Likewise, there is low dissatisfaction with body image and high levels of severe anxiety and statisticall y significant differences according to sex.

Conductas sobre sexting y ansiedad en adolescentes
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-08-01) Cujano Chimborazo, Joselyn Lissette; Valencia Cepeda, María Cristina Psc. Cl. Mst.
This study analyzes how social pressure and excessive use of technology influence the emotional well-being of adolescents. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between sexting behaviors and anxiety in adolescents. A sample of 100 male and female participants was taken, ranging in age from 12 to 18 years old. This study is a non-experimental quantitative approach, cross-sectional and correlational in scope. For the variables studied, the Behavioral Scale on sexting ECS adapted by Chacón-López et al. (2016) and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) developed by Clark & Beck (2012) were used. To obtain the results, the Spearman correlation test was applied, finding that there was a slight positive correlation between anxiety and active disposition (Rho= 0.210 p<0.05), and participation (Rho= 0.225 p<0.05), but there was no relationship with emotional expression (Rho=0.061 p>0.05). These data allowed concluding that those who have an active disposition towards sexting and a greater participation in this practice tend to experience anxiety symptoms.

Mst.
The present research determined the relationship between anxiety and cell phone dependence in high school adolescents, constructs measured by the Hamilton Anxiety Scale and the Mobile Phone Dependence Test (TDM) in a sample of 104 high school students, with an age range of 15 to 18 years, were selected by exclusion and inclusion criteria. The results determined that most of the adolescents presented a mild level of anxiety, followed by a high level, and statistically significant differences were found between the anxiety levels of males and females. The majority of students presented a moderate level of dependence on the cell phone, followed by a high level. For the verification of the research hypothesis, Spearman's nonparametric statistic was used since the anxiety variable did not meet the assumption of normality. After data analysis, a proportional and statistically significant relationship was found between the study variables.

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-03-01) Caguana Sopa, Mishel Elizabeth; Tobar Viera, Andrea Susana Ps. Cl. Mg.
Family functionality is known as a system where there are inter-family and interpersonal relationships that facilitate satisfaction within the home. In addition, due to the changes that adolescents undergo, the family should be the pillar of support for the formation of their behavior. Likewise, it facilitates the development and growth of each member of the household, respecting their personal space, privacy and freedom. It contributes as a means of protection in situations of risk and problems that are typical of adolescence. In this sense, if the family dynamics are altered, the family members generate several psychological alterations, among them anxiety. Anxiety in adolescents is presented through exaggerated worry, behavioral changes, traumatic experiences and fears generated by specific objects or in situations of social interaction. The study consisted of 141 adolescents aged 14 to 17 years with a mean of 14.9. The FF-SIL Questionnaire was used to evaluate the first variable and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale for the second variable. The results of the research show that adolescents identify with a moderately functional family is 44.0% and 48.9% have mild anxiety. It was shown that anxiety does not differ according to sex and it can be concluded that having an adequate perception of family functionality is related to anxiety in adolescents.

Family dysfunction brings serious consequences for adolescents. One of the most characteristic symptoms is anxiety, which is why this research study aimed to determine the relationship between family functioning and anxiety levels. A quantitative and cross-sectional study was carried out, the sample was 90 participants from the "Capitán Giovanni Calles" Educational Unit. To collect data, the Family Functioning Questionnaire (FF-SIL) was applied to assess family functioning and the Trait-State Anxiety Scale (IDARE) to assess student anxiety. The SPSS program was applied to compare the two variables using Spearman's Rho Coefficient. The results allowed the researcher to conclude that there is no significant relationship between family functioning and anxiety. On the other hand, the Moderately Functional Family prevailed with 56.7%, the high level in State Anxiety with 43.3%. And the high level in Trait Anxiety with 62.2%.
