    “Alexitimia y depresión en personas privadas de libertad”

    The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the alexithymia and the depression of the people deprived of liberty of the Center for Regional Social Rehabilitation Sierra Central Norte, population that will be the direct beneficiary, since the information obtained will allow the development of psychological programs that will contribute to the process of rehabilitation of the criminal population, in addition to the favoring for future research. The study was made up of forty people, who were evaluated through the Alexithymia Toronto Scale Consensus for Latin America, (LAC-TAS-20) and The Depression Inventory by Beck BDI–II, to evaluate the presence of alexithymia and the levels of depression respectively, for the analysis of the data, we used the statistical program SSPS and through the Chi-square statistical test was obtained a value less than the probability level (0.00 < p 0,05), verifying the existence of relationship between the two variables. The data obtained suggest that is necessary to implement psychological programs that contribute to the process of rehabilitation of the prison population and so to ensure a positive reintegration into society.

    “Flexibilidad mental y respuestas de afrontamiento.”

    The present investigation was designed to determine the correlation between, mental flexibility and coping responses on people who are private from the freedom of the stage of Minimum Security Men of the Social Regional Rehabilitation, Sierra downtown, North of Latacunga. This studio is divided into five chapters. We can find the first chapter that contains the problem of the investigation, analysis in context like macro, meso and micro. It also includes justification and planned objectives. In the second chapter we can visualize the theory in which there is detailed information of the investigation and theorical components of each variables. In the third chapter details the methodological framework by informing the methodology used, ways to obtain the sample, the description of the battery test. In chapter fourth contains the results of each variable, statistical tables, figures and hypothesis testing base on Chi 2. Finally, in the last chapter, there are conclusions and recommendations focused on the planned objectives.
