Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2023-09) Flores Pico, Alex Medardo; Zuñiga Tirado, Jonathan Alexander; López Velástegui, Jorge EnriqueThe project is oriented to the development of a machine for the production and supply of balanced trout feed for the fish farmers of the Pasa parish in the province of Tungurahua, due to the fact that in the area there is a large production of this species and little commercialization of this feed, in addition to having a high price. For the execution of the project, we started with the collection of bibliographic information that allowed us to analyze the principle of operation of the various systems that make up the machine, to later establish the design parameters such as pressure, temperature, viscosity, humidity, and the forces acting on the prototype. In addition, simulations were performed in specialized analysis programs considering the factors established in the design to later select the types of materials and systems established by various standards related to the subject. Finally, the prototype was built, and functional tests were carried out with the raw material. The pellets were manufactured by programming the prototype at a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius in the compression chamber, a screw rotation speed of 100 rpm, a viscosity of the mixture of 596.3 pascal second and in the course of one hour 48 kg of balanced feed were produced. Once the pellet has been produced, buoyancy tests and the acceptance of the product by the trout are carried out.Item Diseño y construcción de una máquina peletizadora que utilice residuos de madera para la empresa Decor Parquét en la ciudad de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2022-09) Ponce Ramos, Bryan Alexis; Viteri Caiza, Jorge Esteban; López Villacís, Gonzalo EduardoThis technical project was developed due to the need to use the waste generated in the construction of wooden furniture made by the company DECOR PARQUÉT to take advantage of the leftover wood that is produced daily. This technical project aims to design and build a pelletizing machine that compacts wood waste into small cylinders known as pellets. In the theoretical foundation, the description, advantages, disadvantages, types, thermal properties, physical properties, mechanical properties and the technical standard UNE - ISO 17225-2: 2021 used to produce wood pellets were analyzed. It also describes the purpose of the equipment, the systems that compose it, its parts, the types of pelletizers, the failures they present and the materials necessary for the construction of the machine. As for the analytical part, the sizing of all the parts, simulations of the critical components of the system and the selection of the materials based on the calculations were determined. Finally, the machine was built using the design represented in the drawings with the necessary corrections to make the model functional, and the respective functional tests were performed.
