    The purpose of this project is to design and build a machine capable of moving vertically, quickly and safely materials used in the company “Alvarado Construcciones”. In order to achieve the objectives of this project a study of elevators and cranes that can serve as a base to meet the target was performed. Accepting the fact that the elevator should be removable and convenient cost. An analysis of alternatives was made to determine the best design option, setting up the necessary technical parameters for achieve the requirements of the company, and with this analysis we proceeded to design all the elements of the elevator. Certain safety parameters were established to operate the machine as well as preventive measures for future maintenance. Finally, the building process used in the elevator is detailed.

    For the development of the project a statistical study of the loads manipulated in the loading and unloading area in the Motraregs Company is performed, in order to, determine the requirements of the company, and based on these, the values of the load being lifted and the dimensions of the platform are determined. The platform consist of the metal structure and a pneumatic system used as way of transfer of force. For the design of the different components of the platform, there are used terms of reference of mechanical design and resistance values of the materials obtained from existing ecuadorian standards. In addition, a software of analysis by finite elements is used to obtain an analysis of the behavior of the structure in working condition. The pneumatic system is constituted by an cilynder and different valves to guaranteee the functioning wished for the platform. The cilynder force required is obtained by the concept of virtual work, for which are considered different locations and the definitive is selected according to the route and the necessary force to raise the load of desing.
