Adicciones y Violencia en el Noviazgo de Parejas Jóvenes
(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2023-03) Yumbolema Narváez, Jazmín Carolina; Campoverde Quijano, Egda Maribel
The research is part of the project: "NETNOGRAPHY AND DIGITAL COMMUNICATION IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC AND/OR POST-PANDEMIC COVID 2019" belonging to the Social, Democratic and Educational Strengthening Domain of the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Social Sciences, with the Lines of Research, Communication, Society, Culture, Technology and Social Exclusion and Integration. Addictions are a problem that distress society because they cannot be controlled from one day to the next, creating disputes and estrangement between families, friends and the same couple, and these drugs are also factors that lead to physical, psychological, verbal, sexual, cyber, emotional and economic violence due to excessive consumption. In context with the users of the Rehabilitation Center Villarrica movement, they can generate or not violence on their partner when under the effect of any drug (alcohol, ecstasy, marijuana, cocaine, perica, heroin, Krokodil and snuff), creating insecurity, fear, jealousy, family estrangement, depression, memory loss, unemployment, behavioral changes among other consequences that are arising throughout their lives, which sometimes become irreversible. This research study was carried out with the purpose of finding out whether drug users are violent because of drug use, which is why we worked through a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews, which provided us with life stories that allowed us to learn about this problem. Based on the research, it was found that most of the users of the Villarrica Movement Rehabilitation Center are violent towards their partners due to the use of psychotropic substances, which are harmful to their lives and keep them away from their loved ones
