    Companies to be more competitive must improve the management of their production processes, including inventory management processes. The objective of the present research is to reduce the annual cost of inventory management of the four main materials required for the preparation of cleaning products, by the Wilson soap company of the city of Quito. For this, the following stages of the study were followed: For this, several stages were followed. Stage No. 1: collection of data required for the study, data collection was done from several sources, including the company under study, suppliers, etc., Stage No. 2, estimated the demand forecast expressed in units for the period of one year, for this stage several quantitative models recommended for the prediction of demand are applied. Stage No. 3. Determination of the economic lot of the order, for which the variations of the EOQ model, better known as the economic order lot, are applied. In Stage No. 4, preparation of an Annual Materials Requirement Plan, in order to establish the number of orders per year, when placing an order or order, the average inventory to be handled, among others. Finally, in Stage No. 5, development of a computer application, a computer application is designed and developed to apply the results obtained in the study company. it can be concluded that the total cost for inventory management through the implementation of this research work is $ 5,566 per year, while the cost of traditional handling of inventory amounts to $ 14,057 per year, representing a 40 percent savings by product.
