    In the research on "Mechatronics applied in a special costume (fantasy), influenced by the main cultural festivities of the province of Tungurahua" it was proposed to analyze qualitatively the costumes of fantasy, identifying the best alternative of design to propose a costume of fantasy, that Combines Mechatronics as a basis for innovation. The type of research that corresponds to this work is an exploratory level in which it has sought to recognize the tastes and preferences of the target population, also forms a field work due to the information collected through a survey of both the owners of Fashion centers, as well as designers and teachers of the fashion design career. The methodology used to carry out the objectives was Analytical-synthetic, based on the opinion of those involved, who mention that fantasy costumes are very important for beauty contests, most of them buy fantasy costumes once a year For a price of 400 dollars, the beauty contests are spread by Television, the press and the internet, being the design and the price decisive factors for the purchase and where Luis Tipán is the designer who emphasizes more; The population recommends changing the colors, shape or texture of the suits and include mechatronics technology.
