Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2023-02) Velásquez Garcés, Mildred Estefanía; Acosta Lozada, Rodrigo IvánThis project presents the need for a road evaluation of the urban area of the Ambato Canton, due to the fact that over time the condition of the road surface and its infrastructure has deteriorated, considering that if they are in good condition it generates great economic and social benefits. In the present project, a visual evaluation of the urban area of the Ambato canton was carried out to determine the condition of the road condition, where a survey of information was carried out with the help of a manual GPS Global Positioning System and the help of technical data sheets, the same in which the faults and their level of severity are detailed, With the help of the Pavement Condition Index PCI, it was possible to calculate and determine the condition of the pavement, in order to provide the most appropriate way the best alternative for road maintenance, also a reference budget was considered so that the maintenance of the evaluated area can be executed. At the end of the road evaluation, a database will be delivered to the Municipal Government of Ambato, so that the information generated can be used for the benefit of society, as a contribution of the Technical University of Ambato.
