    Matte painting is a technique that has been developed within the world of visual effects and that is currently linked to the advertising sector in order to enhance not only the visual aspect but also the communicative part of a graphic piece. The present study seeks to explain and define why the interference of this technique is important as a tool to develop advertising graphic pieces and the contribution it provides to the graphic designer in terms of improving their abilities and skills in essential factors such as composition, light and color. color. The versatility and the great variety of fields in which it can be applied make this technique ideal for solving shortcomings and aspects of a conceptual and creative nature that students find difficult to understand, which makes it difficult for them to reach a result with good finishes.
