    La inversión social y el Índice de Sen en Ecuador durante el período 2000-2014

    The present research project has as main objective the study of social investment in Ecuador and its impact on the reduction of poverty through the Sen Index, through an econometric model with ordinary least squares. In the elaboration of the present project a bibliographic methodology was managed, with a Quali - Quantitative approach. With the obtained information we can emphasize that the two variables with which we work are related directly to the improvement of the quality of life of the Ecuadorians and the progress that has been provoking during the 15 years studied. The research presents the different priorities of governments to reduce poverty through the prioritization of different sectors (Education, Health, Urban Development and Housing, Labor and Social Welfare) of social investment. This is done in order to analyze the evolution or, in turn, the reduction of poverty in the country through policies implemented by the executive branch, and prioritization from the generation of budget items.
