Item Diseño de un plan de conservación de la estructura de la capa de rodadura de la vía Pelileo - Chiquicha, ABS 0+000 - 4+000, provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2023-08) Tubón Sarmiento, Bryan Daniel; Frías Torres, Alex XavierThe Pelileo - Chiquicha road is of the utmost importance because it unites one of the parishes with the highest agricultural production within the canton and the province, with the urban area, an adequate maintenance of this road contributes to the extension of its useful life, for this a georeferenced survey, vehicle count, subgrade analysis and evaluation of the road surface was carried out. Using a GPS device, 627 points with coordinates were obtained, with which a modeling was carried out in suitable software. The vehicle count was carried out for 12 uninterrupted hours for seven days, data necessary for the calculation of the TPDA and TPDAf. According to NEVI-12, it is considered a 2-lane type C1 highway. To obtain the soil samples, 1 cubic meter test pit was made in the subgrade, one each 1+000 km abscissa, with which Granulometry, Atterberg Limits, Modified Proctor and CBR tests were carried out; obtaining gravel and clayey or silty sand A2-4 with a CBR of 16.28 percent, classifying the soil used within the "Fair - Good" range, suitable for Subgrade. The measurement of the deflection of the road surface was carried out with a Benkelman beam, having a satisfactory behavior of Type I. With the PCI method, 14 sampling units were carried out, obtaining a result of 70.06, evidencing a "Very Good" level road. Finally, a routine and periodic maintenance plan was proposed for the conservation of the surface layer structure with a budget of $14,144.53.
