This technical project was applied in the Huachi Grande Educational Unit of the city of Ambato in order to provide electricity to the administrative area, since there is no good infrastructure design, so it does not have enough spaces for the entry of natural lighting, in addition, the electrical wiring is in poor condition as there are no short circuits in some areas of the institution, causing them to run out of electricity on several occasions. For this project, the necessary components for the installation will be selected taking into account different design parameters such as the calculation of the energy demand of the 15 bulb-shaped luminaires, which is the basis for subsequent calculations. Using alternative selection tables, the specific components for the photovoltaic installation were chosen. With the components already selected, the photovoltaic installation is carried out in the institution to supply energy to the established areas. Finally, performance tests were carried out on 2 specific days: sunny, cloudy and at night, with a certain load value. Under these conditions, the voltage and current intensity at the input and output of the solar inverter were measured, obtaining the behavior of battery consumption and ensuring that the photovoltaic system is working correctly.
