The present experimental work studies the drinking water consumption habits of the “Aeropuerto Dos” and “Dos Ríos” sectors, by means of which consumption curves are determined that will allow us to propose design and maintenance criteria for distribution systems, thus improving people's quality of life. The methodology used in the study consisted of the daily recording of consumption values during 32 consecutive days for all the houses chosen as part of the sample, resulting in 103 properties in the “Aeropuerto Dos” sector and 60 in “Dos Ríos”, such data were collected in two days per day, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, respectively. For hourly consumption, 5 video cameras were installed; 3 in the “Aeropuerto Dos” sector and 2 in the “Dos Ríos” sector, during a period of 7 consecutive days, pressure values were also collected for each house in the sample, during the same period as the hourly recordings. Once the data collection was completed, surveys were applied to the permanent users or heads of household in order to identify the typical configuration per property, of the following aspects: Type of housing, number of inhabitants, number of sanitary units, among others. In the final part, after the information was compiled, digitalized, tabulated and georeferenced, it was determined that the average consumption of potable water per property for the sectors “Aeropuerto Dos” and “Dos Ríos” is 0.951 and 0.933 cubic meters per day, respectively.
