    This research has focused primarily on analyzing and determining the application of investigative journalism in the news content of the UNIMAX TV channel 34, since investigative journalism is considered one of the most tedious and complex journalistic genres, as it needs Of time and money. To carry out investigative notes it is necessary to gather information, data and have sufficient elements to provide viewers with information capable of generating social awareness, the challenge lies in the professionals of journalism as they must be the pioneers in bringing news with high content to the television Of investigation, and in this way to offer to the audience what it needs to know and to provide accurate and updated information of the facts. The research seeks to emphasize the importance of investigative journalism in the news content, once the problem is discovered, an exploratory research is carried out, the theoretical framework is hired to appropriately base the variables of the present investigation, based on the information Obtained in books, magazines, theses and internet. The methodology of the research is established and the appropriate instruments for the collection of the information are realized, exploring the causes and effects that will be used to make the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the variables investigated, applying a statistical analysis with the results obtained , Establishing in this way the conclusions and recommendations appropriate by the researcher. The present investigation was realized with beneficiaries such as: the news department of UNIMAX TV, in the audience of the media. It is necessary to propose alternatives to solve the research problem, thus allowing the creation of librettos for the elaboration of investigative reports to have a better content in the news program and thus provide a better information to the viewers.
