    Calzado Luigi Valdini is a company dedicated to the production and marketing of footwear for women, men and children based on guidelines of productive quality, but due to changes in the environment it has been shown that human talent presents an inadequate work performance on which affects productivity levels. For this reason, this research work focuses on the need to generate an analysis of management by competencies, from the approach of formalization of knowledge and integration, with the purpose of generating a change of attitude in human talent, the same as it is reflected in a high work performance and therefore organizational competitiveness is generated. The results achieved in the research process, specifically in field research, allowed to know that management by competencies in reference to basic and technical knowledge are not properly developed, which affects the work performance. It is recommended to generate a change in the targeting of human talent, through a competency management model from the DACUM approach to improve skills in the workplace, and thus generate an efficient use of business resources to access high levels of production based on the integration of skills and abilities of the staff, improving the image of the company, promoting productive and commercial satisfaction.
