Item Ghosting y Habilidades Sociales en adolescentes(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2023-09) Santamaría Telenchana, Genesis Johanna; Chiliquinga Vejar, Lorena del CarmenGhosting is a digital phenomenon that consists of abruptly disappearing, terminating or ceasing any type of communication through social networks, especially in messaging applications such as whatsapp, facebook messenger or wechat, although this phenomenon is not yet visible on the internet. Ecuadorian context, this does not mean that it does not occur among adolescents, since they are the ones who are most exposed to these technological social problems, the impact of its practice deteriorates social skills that are key elements for human beings, because they allow us to relate to others. others effectively. The objective of the research is to determine the relationship between ghosting and the social skills of adolescents from the "Ambato" TungurahuaEcuador Educational Unit, the quantitative and exploratory, descriptive study and conclusions will be developed with 310 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17, to analyze the independent variable, an instrument with two dimensions (ghosted and ghoster) composed of 26 elements was designed, which was validated by the expert judgment method and its reliability with the alpha of Cronbach, while for the study of the dependent variable the Social Skills Scale (EHS) of Elena Gismero was obtained. The results obtained determined that there is a relationship between ghosting and social skills, the elaborated instrument revealed that the practice of this phenomenon was moderate and that the level of social skills of adolescents was low.
